Christian Counselling

Biblically Faithful, Clinically Informed, Personally Tailored.

Our approach to psychotherapy is both Biblically grounded and clinically responsible. We believe that the ultimate purpose for all people is that they would glorify God and enjoy Him always.

This purpose means we must work out our salvation and meet the call to overcome life’s challenges. Lasting change involves the whole person—mind, heart, relationships, and spiritual life. For that reason, therapy is never rigidly tied to one single modality. Instead, treatment is thoughtfully tailored to the individual, drawing from multiple evidence-based approaches while remaining consistently Christian in worldview and foundation.Every intervention is filtered through Scripture, theological conviction, and sound clinical judgment.

Integrative

An integrative approach means discerning which tools are most appropriate for your unique concerns. Depending on your needs, therapy may incorporate elements from:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for renewing patterns of thought and understanding the interconnections between: thought 🡪 emotion🡪behaviours.

  • Solutions Focused Therapy to come up with practical, goal-oriented tasks to help you achieve your goals and solve problems effectively.

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for emotional regulation and stability, self-worth, identity, and learning to be present.

  • Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) for healing relational wounds, learning to regulate emotions and respond effectively.

  • Family Systems Therapy for addressing generational impacts and relational dynamics.

  • Psychodynamic insight for uncovering deeper patterns and appreciating how your lived experience and upbringing impact you.

  • Strengths-Based strategies to better appreciate your giftings and supports and to grow in gratitude and resilience.

  • Trauma-Informed care to ensure safety and stability especially when coping with a traumatic experience.

  • Life Coaching for when you’re looking to launch your life and achievements to the next level and you need support to help you keep motivated and problem-solve your challenges.

Each method is used intentionally and proportionally—and never in contradiction to Biblical truth and Christian values, and always geared toward achieving Christ-likeness and the greater glorification of God in the life of the individual.

Always Christian in Foundation

While clinical tools are drawn from contemporary psychology, the interpretive framework remains Christian.

This means:

  • Human dignity is grounded in being created in the image of God.

  • Sin, suffering, and brokenness are understood theologically as well as psychologically.

  • Repentance, forgiveness, reconciliation, and sanctification are meaningful categories.

  • Hope is rooted not merely in self-improvement, but in God’s redemptive work.

Scripture speaks to both the inner life and relational life:

  • “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” — Romans 12:2

  • “Above all else, guard your heart.” — Proverbs 4:23

  • “Speak the truth in love.” — Ephesians 4:15

These themes naturally align with responsible psychological care.

A Unified Goal

The aim is not merely symptom reduction—though that matters. The aim is integrated growth:

  • Emotional stability

  • Relational maturity

  • Personal responsibility

  • Spiritual depth

  • Psychological resilience

Biblically based integrative therapy seeks to help you think clearly, love wisely, act responsibly,

and grow faithfully in Christlikeness. It brings together Biblical wisdom and conviction with the best

of clinical insight so that healing is not fragmented, but whole-person and enduring.

We also recognize that your life is about more than just ‘healing’ or ‘wellness’

but that you were made for experiencing a thriving life – spiritually, morally, physically,

and mentally, to the glory of God.
